Goal 8. Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
Mae Tao Clinic aims to strengthen the youth empowerment through education and health worker training. Youth is trained and educated to build their communities in post-conflict settings. We train health workers to build the community. (Check out one of our health providers in Prosthetic Department who was a victim of the landmine, and became a trainee in the prosthetic provider to health trainer here.)
Under MTC, Children’s Development Centre (CDC) school provides education for children to have the solid base to find job later in life.
In 2016 we formed a functional Occupational Health and Safety Committee. One of our advisors has qualifications in occupational health and safety and was able to assist with this process. Raising awareness for and learn how to learn to safely carry out hazardous tasks, working with chemicals, health risks, etc. Suwannimit Foundation is assisting with this process and liaising with the Thai authorities.
